Πληροφορίες (Αντικείμενο - Σκοπός)
Our Department’s aim is to promote teaching and research in history and archaeology. We pay particular attention in familiarizing our students with various theoretical and methodological approaches in history and archeology, and in promoting critical thinking. An innovative practice in the Department curriculum is that the teaching staff constantly renew the topics of their courses and do not repeat course titles before three years. This way, our students have the opportunity to make selections from a vast range of topics during their studies. The Department of History and Archeology of the University of Crete functions on a basis of transparence, with absolute respect for democratic principles. We are dedicated to the promotion of the sciences of history and archeology, while maintaining consistently high academic standards.
